Portrait sketch
A portrait of my grandmother, who passed away when I was seven. I still remember glimpses of her kindness. This is how I hold on to the love I have for her.

Perhaps a place you know.
A feeling you've felt.
A story that stays.
My sister and I joined Urban Sketchers, discovering the beautiful streets of our own country, one sketch meet at a time.
Portrait sketch
A portrait of my grandmother, who passed away when I was seven. I still remember glimpses of her kindness. This is how I hold on to the love I have for her.
Acrylic on canvas
A summer holiday with my family in Beruwela. This is the view I wanted to take home with me.
Watercolours
After a long, chaotic semester, my friends and I escaped to the seaside in Qinhuangdao, China. I made this painting during that trip.
Acrylic on paper
In the summer of 2024, university friends visited Sri Lanka with us. Climbing Ambuluwawa was exciting and a little terrifying. Painting it became my way of keeping that adventure.
Archival ink on canvas
This piece began with a feeling, rather than a memory. As a Buddhist, I found that making it became a form of meditation.
Acrylic on canvas
Living abroad could feel lonely. Far from home, with friends busy and the day stretching out, I put that feeling of being lost into this painting.
Acrylic and charcoal on paper
At the Kandy Perahera, I felt both admiration and sadness watching the elephants. Their elegance stayed with me, but so did the sight of their chains.
Acrylic and oil on canvas
An early experiment: playing with paint, mixing acrylics and oils, and discovering what I could make. It was wonderfully messy.
Acrylic on paper
I enjoyed painting the elephant, but Sigiriya itself was a challenge. My dad thought my first attempt looked like Muthugala, so he sent me photographs to help.
Acrylic on canvas
An older painting, made out of my love for autumn colours. I hope a little of that feeling reaches you, too.
Acrylic on canvas
I painted this when I wanted a little quiet in my mind. The ocean has always been a place where I find peace.
Watercolours and archival pen on paper
I made this so long ago that I no longer remember exactly what led me to it. I only know that I still love it.
Acrylic on canvas
My very first painting on canvas. I still remember the excitement, and the smell of the canvas and acrylic paint for the first time.
